"Basically, there are working channels to work, in particular between my office and the office of the President of Azerbaijan, in particular through those channels we accepted the joint statement, as a result of which our 32 captive brothers returned. Of course, the topic of the work is the work on the text of the peace treaty. They send us, we work, we send them. Now, as a matter of fact, the work has reached a point where we from Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan wants additional guarantees from us mutually, that we do not have territorial demands and ambitions hidden from each other, because diplomatic texts themselves always have different twists, contexts and footnotes. And we see certain, if not today, further dangers of territorial claims of Azerbaijan, perhaps Azerbaijan in the footnotes of our proposals. I think that we should treat this situation as a working process, which we should continue to manage until these questions are answered," he said.

Russia is ready to contribute to the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan as much as possible. Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin said this in an interview with RIA Novosti. "The Russian side has worked very actively, steadfastly and consistently and continues to work in that direction. Our actions also testify to that. I can even list the work that was carried out in that direction with the participation and initiative of Russia. I want to say that Russia is determined to support this process as much as possible, to establish a truly stable and just peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan," said Kopirkin. He emphasized that Moscow is interested in stability in the region and in the world in general. "We support the process of normalization of relations and Russia has always actively emphasized its readiness to work in this direction in all aspects, whether it is the conclusion of a peace treaty, whether it is the delimitation and demarcation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, whether it is the development of trust between the parties, including through civil society contacts. , be it the opening of communications," Kopirkin said.
