According to Tass, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Tuesday, in response to the decision of the Council of the European Union not to fulfill its obligations in the eighth year on the implementation of the 2015 nuclear deal and the implementation of resolution 2231, also regarding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), that Security Council decisions must be in accordance with agreed written documents and indicators to be strictly implemented and the opportunistic decision of Western countries to review or implement amendments to United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231 is illegal and destructive. Previously, "Nasser Kanani", spokesperson of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, had defined the decision of the Council of the European Union not to implement its commitments by the eighth year of the JCPOA as a clear violation of the obligations of the Union and the 3 European countries, under the JCPOA and Resolution 2231 and an act with bad intentions.

According to the Tass news agency, Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Russian presidency, in response to the statement of American President Joe Biden, told journalists that if the forces of the whole of Europe united, Russian President Vladimir Putin would be defeated, and Western leaders have not succeeded so far and will not succeed again. Peskov said that both Biden and European leaders are spending their money in vain, adding that Westerners say they want to suppress Putin and Russia, but they have not succeeded and will not succeed. Previously, Biden in an interview with CBS said that Washington can unite all of Europe, deprive Russia of freedom of action and suppress the president of this country.
