Russian Minister of Culture: Islamic Cinema Unites Many People from Different Countries

  Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of Russia stated that Islamic cinema unites people from various countries in the world. According to Anadolu News Agency, Russian Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova in a statement delivered to participants of the 19th Kazan International Islamic Cinema Festival, held in the capital of Tatarstan on Wednesday (6/9/2023) said, "This festival is one of the a platform that promotes cultural dialogue between countries and artists,". Lyubimova continued that this event presents brilliant original works from various parts of the world every year.

 "I am confident that the Kazan International Islamic Cinema Festival will continue to promote cultural dialogue between countries and art practitioners," said the Russian Federation's culture minister. The 19th Kazan International Islamic Cinema Festival was held from September 5 to 9 in the administrative center of Tatarstan. The festival organizing committee announced that this year it had received 712 applications from 44 countries and 52 films from 21 countries for various categories, including films from Algeria, Bangladesh, Egypt, Greece, India, Iraq, Iran, Turkey and the UK that will be nominated to win awards.
