The state of California, and specifically the city of Los Angeles, has once again been hit by major fires as this new phase of wildfires has returned with stronger winds, less than two weeks after the city was ravaged by an uncontrollable fire that has killed at least 27 people and destroyed 12,300 buildings.

Thousands of Southern California residents have been ordered to evacuate their areas after strong winds returned and wildfires raged again in the foothills of California.

New fires have broken out again in Southern California, especially in Los Angeles, while earlier this week the US National Weather Service predicted strong winds and the possibility of more fires in the area.

The US National Weather Service had predicted wind speeds of about 113 kilometers per hour in coastal areas and gusts of about 161 kilometers per hour in mountainous areas.

The new fire comes two weeks after strong winds caused major damage in Los Angeles, including significant economic losses estimated at $250 billion to $275 billion. The two previous major fires have not yet been extinguished.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, in the latest wave of new fires, the fire has spread further and burned five thousand hectares of land in just two hours, with residents near Castaic Lake being ordered to evacuate quickly and leave everything behind to save their lives.
