The Austrian diplomat's emphasis on the West's futile attempts to eliminate Russia

  Alexander Schallenberg, Austrian Foreign Minister, emphasizing the fallacy of the West's attempt to eliminate Russia, said that this country will not disappear from the world map and will remain Europe's largest neighbor. According to RT, in response to the question why Austria never closed its embassy in Russia, Schallenberg said that he did not support the closure of the embassy and the dissolution of diplomatic missions, and such an approach would be wrong. Since the start of the war in Ukraine (February 24, 2022), the US, UK and their allies have significantly increased sanctions and pressure on Russia; an action that naturally caused a response from Moscow.

After the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, it was expected that the Russian economy would go into recession under the influence of comprehensive Western sanctions, however, economic statistics indicate the economic stability of this country, and Russia was able to increase its GDP by applying measures and changes in its economic and political activities regarding the ruble, paying more attention to process of de-dollarization in their international payments.
