The death of 25,000 refugees in seven years on the road to Europe

The media reported that at least 25,000 refugees have lost their lives since 2014. Immigrants fleeing war and insecurity in their countries are facing increasing repression by the European authorities. According to AAA based on data from human rights groups 25,000 refugees died en route to EU member countries. The total number of asylum seekers who reached the European Union last year reached 960,000. Currently, Europe has been accused of adopting a double-dealing and racist approach, as European countries welcome Ukrainian immigrants, but block entry from other countries. The British government plans to prevent migrants from crossing the Channel on small boats with new legislation due to be announced next week. According to the new law, the asylum applications of all those who cross the Channel on small boats will not be accepted. They will also be barred from entering England permanently. The United Nations described this plan as a clear violation of the Refugee Convention. Human rights activists also say this action is unethical and will not work.
