The European Union and Great Britain condemned the statements of the Minister of Finance of the Zionist regime
The European Union's Foreign Policy official strongly condemned the statements of the Israeli Minister of Finance about the deliberate infliction of hunger on the people of Gaza.
According to the Palestinian news agency Sama News, Josep Borrell said: "We strongly condemn the recent statements of Israel's finance minister about the deliberate starvation of civilians in Gaza."
The European Union's foreign policy official added: "Deliberate starvation of civilians is a war crime and Bezalel Smotrich's statement proves once again the violation of international law and basic principles of humanity."
Further, he added: "It is immoral to allow Israel to cause the death of 2 million civilians until the hostages are returned."
Also, British Foreign Minister David Lammy wrote in a message on his user account on the social network X (formerly Twitter): "The laws of international law cannot be clearer than this that starvation of civilians is a war crime ."
Lammy, further stating that there is no justification for the statements of the Zionist minister Bezalel Smotrich, stressed: "Israel must retract the statements of its minister and condemn his words."
Bezalel Smotrich, the finance minister of the Zionist regime, in a conference earlier this week, in a controversial statement said: "As long as the Israeli hostages (prisoners) are not released, the policy of starving the 2 million residents of Gaza can be a justified and moral response, but no one in the world allows Israel this."
