The Guardian newspaper reports a significant increase in basic energy tariffs in Europe, if the war between Russia and Ukraine continues.
Andrey Kovalev, former head of Ukraine's state-owned oil and gas company, in an interview with the Guardian on Monday (15/4/2024) stated that Russia was starting an energy war and that the country's victory in the war with Ukraine would have very serious consequences for the energy market world.
"If the destruction of Ukraine's energy infrastructure due to the war with Russia continues, then a dramatic rise in energy prices in Europe is inevitable," Kovalev warned.
Last week, Russian forces launched a massive missile and drone attack targeting one of Ukraine's largest power plants and damaging another.
The sanctions by America and its allies aimed at Russia have backfired on European economic conditions and the global energy market.
The condition of the spike in basic world energy tariffs emerged at a time when the conflict between Iran and Israel was escalating, which was triggered by the Zionist regime's provocative military attack on Iran's diplomatic facilities in Damascus which is still heating up.
