According to the Arab news agency, Waad al-Qadu said: "Hashd al-Shaabi forces deployed near the common border with Syria, following a defensive strategy, have reduced the infiltration of terrorist elements into Iraq by 95%."

He added: "The Americans sought to turn the border areas in western Iraq into a conflict zone and a place for terrorist elements to infiltrate, but they failed due to the dedication of the Hashd Shaabi."

Noting that the deployment of Hashd-Shaabi forces in the western regions of Iraq is strategic and vital, Al-Kado said: "This is why the Hashd-Shaabi forces are subject to American attacks."

It should be noted that the Iraqi militia continues to carry out its assigned mission to combat the remaining elements of the terrorist group Daesh (ISIS) in various parts of Iraq and has repeatedly discovered and destroyed the hideouts of these elements.

American occupation forces have been stationed in Iraq since 2003, and their largest base is Ain al-Assad in Anbar province in the west of the country.
