The second phase of military exercises of non-strategic nuclear forces has started in Russia

As reported by Russian news agencies, referring to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, at this stage, the Russian and Belarusian military should work out the "issues of joint preparation" for the combat use of non-strategic nuclear weapons.

The Russian Ministry of Defense informed about the exercise on May 6. Such a warning was given by President Vladimir Putin, "in response to the provocative statements and threats made by individual Western officials against the Russian Federation".

The first stage of the exercise started on May 21. The "Iskander" complex and "Kinzhal" hypersonic missiles took part in them. Belarus started checking carriers of tactical nuclear weapons on May 7.
