The widespread destruction in the Gaza Strip as a result of attacks by the Zionist regime's army has had dire consequences for Palestinians living in the strip. According to UN statistics, 352 schools were damaged as a result of Israeli army attacks, accounting for 70% of the schools in the Gaza Strip. Zionist regime soldiers also attacked West Bank schools near the fence and blocked communications routes. Of the 22,000 Palestinians martyred in the Zionist regime's attacks on Gaza, more than 70% are women and children. According to the Al Jazeera news channel, Sadiq al-Khodor, a spokesman for the Gaza Ministry of Education, announced: "625,000 students in the Gaza Strip have lost the opportunity to continue their studies since the Zionist military attacks on the strip began on October 7." A spokesman for the Gaza Ministry of Education said: "This amount is equivalent to all the students who attended school before the war." Speaking about the number of student martyrs, Sadiq Al-Khodor added: "About 4,000 students were martyred and another 7,000 were injured as a result of air and ground attacks by the Zionist enemy on the Gaza Strip." A spokesman for the Gaza Ministry of Education further added: "210 teachers and education department staff were also martyred in the Israeli attacks."
