Sudanese authorities have reported the deaths of 850 people, including 200 children, in tribal conflicts in the West Darfur region.According to Al Jazeera, Khamis Abdullah Abu Bakr, governor of Western Darfur state in Sudan, said: "Due to the intensity of clashes between the rapid reaction forces and the Sudanese army, these conflicts have escalated into tribal conflicts."

He added: The number of wounded has reached more than 2,600, of which almost 700 are children.
