Trump: US will evacuate Palestinians and 'take over' and 'own' Gaza

US President Donald Trump has publicly declared that the United States will take control of the Gaza Strip, rebuilding the war-torn region and providing economic opportunities for its future residents; and when asked whether he would send US troops there, Trump has vowed to "do whatever it takes."

Trump made the remarks to reporters following his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House.

The US president has reiterated his statement that Palestinians should be given permanent residency elsewhere, and added that the US will "take over" Gaza and lead efforts to repair the damage left by 15 months of war launched by Israel against the territory.

When asked by reporters to explain what he meant by "taking power," the US leader said it was a "long-term tenure" that he claimed would bring "great stability" to the entire Middle East.

Trump continued: "Everybody I've talked to loves the idea of America owning that piece of land, developing it, and creating thousands of jobs."

In the press conference with Netanyahu, the US president did not rule out the possibility of sending US troops to Gaza to implement his plan, which he called the development of Gaza.

"We will do what is necessary. If necessary, we will do it. We are going to take power there," the leader has declared without shame.

And when asked who will go to live in the Gaza Strip once the US "takes over" and rebuilds it, and if the Palestinians themselves can return, Trump replied that the whole world and representatives from all over the world will go to live there and added that he will turn the area into the Middle East's coastal entertainment zone for the holidays.
