Trump’s sinister plan for Palestinian refugees in Gaza.
Trump’s sinister plan for Palestinian refugees in Gaza: From serving Netanyahu to trying to weaken the resistance.
US President Donald Trump’s controversial proposal regarding Palestinian refugees has sparked a lot of reactions. Fox News, citing White House officials, announced that Donald Trump had already spoken to King Abdullah of Jordan about Palestinian refugees and was seeking to convince Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to settle more than a million Palestinian refugees in the Gaza Strip in Jordan and Egypt. However, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi threw clean water on Trump’s hands.
Jordanian National TV, by broadcasting Safadi’s words, showed that, contrary to Washington’s claims, there is basically no agreement between Trump and King Abdullah and that Jordan opposes such a proposal. Jordanian TV quoted Ayman al-Safadi as saying: “Our first priority is to stabilize the ceasefire and transfer aid to the people of Gaza. I must also say that our position regarding the US plan is clear. Palestine belongs to the Palestinians and Jordan belongs to the Jordanians. We only support the strategy of achieving peace and we oppose the displacement of Palestinians.” Meanwhile, Al Jazeera also reported that it was informed in contact with diplomatic sources in the Jordanian Foreign Ministry that Jordanian authorities are in constant coordination and cooperation with the United Nations to ensure uninterrupted aid flows to Gaza and the start of reconstruction.
The hidden danger in Trump’s short sentences
The US President, on the surface, described the current situation in Gaza using adjectives and phrases such as “destroyed areas and chaotic conditions” and called for the people of Gaza to be resettled in Arab countries, especially Egypt and Jordan. However, the most insidious and dangerous part of Trump’s speech was the short sentence he uttered in response to a CNN reporter. When the reporter asked Trump, “Is your proposal to resettle them temporary or long-term?”, he received the following response: “It could be either of these. Temporary or long-term. Both are possible.”
Trump’s tangible alignment with Netanyahu’s war-mongering
The effort to impose a goal called the Abraham Accords and bring the Arabs closer to the Zionist regime was one of the most important decisions of the US President and his Jewish son-in-law Kushner during Trump’s first term. Now, one of Trump’s first actions in the new term is to cancel the order of former President Joe Biden; the same order that was supposed to stop sending destructive bombs to the Israeli army. But now Trump has ordered that the said strategic munitions be sent in any quantity that Netanyahu needs.
