Ukraine crisis, Biden does everything to change Beijing's position

WASHINTON - The Biden administration continues to make every effort to convince Beijing to change its stance on the conflict in Ukraine and join the United States. Researcher Yang Xiyu of the China Institute of International Studies, quoted by the Global Times newspaper, said that White House spokesman John Kirby had issued a statement demonstrating the United States' willingness to have the Chinese on its side to supply weapons to the 'Ukraine.

"If Kirby wants to talk about 'self-defense', he might as well offer help to Russia for its self-defense against the provocative action of NATO enlargement in Eastern [Europe]," suggests the expert. The Chinese expert also said that Washington's real intention is to "prolong the war to the end". Moreover, the expert noted that the Americans are very "aware that China will not change its position", but insist on this change as an attempt to blame Beijing for the crisis on Ukrainian territory.

"After provoking the conflict, the United States wants China to bear the consequences," he noted.Yang Xiyu also stressed that as long as the United States believes that Ukraine "can provide soldiers for sacrifice," Washington will continue the conflict because it wants to "compromise Russia's security." Furthermore, the United States hopes that as the conflict continues, European countries will increasingly depend on the Americans for security issues, and thus NATO will maintain its unity. However, the expert points out that the US actions are just a miscalculation due to its arrogance, and that this will turn a conventional conflict into a nuclear one, with a boomerang effect on the United States itself.
