The US Embassy in Armenia has confirmed that all American military equipment and personnel have departed the country following the conclusion of the "Eagle Partner" military exercise. The exercise, which aimed to enhance interoperability between the United States and Armenia, concluded on July 24.
In a statement provided to News.am, the US Embassy clarified that the exercise, which focused on joint training and strategic coordination, has been completed successfully. "We can confirm that all US military equipment and personnel have left Armenia," the embassy spokesperson said.
This announcement addresses recent claims circulating in Azerbaijani media about alleged military aid and the presence of US troops in Armenia. The embassy's statement reaffirms that the exercise was part of routine military collaboration and not indicative of a broader military engagement or support beyond the scope of the planned drill.
The "Eagle Partner" exercise was designed to bolster the defense capabilities of both nations through cooperative training and operational readiness. The departure of American forces and equipment marks the end of this particular phase of military collaboration between the two countries.
This development comes amid ongoing regional tensions, and the clarification from the US Embassy aims to dispel any misconceptions regarding the nature and intent of the recent military activities in Armenia.
