WSJ: President Biden is facing a backlash within the administration because of his pro-Israel stance
The Wall Street Journal has reported that the President of the United States, Joe Biden, is facing rebellion from some institutions of his government that oppose his support for Israel in its war against the Islamic Movement of Palestine (Hamas).
The newspaper, which is conservative and known for its support for the illegal Israeli regime, has reported in its editorial that news reports indicate that at least 500 people with appointed positions and staff of 40 organizations - including the Security Council of State and the Department of Justice - have sent a letter to Joe Biden urging him to call for a cease-fire in Gaza and to "de-escalate" tensions between Israel and Hamas. The letter - signed by government officials - described by the Wall Street Journal as "unknown and courageous" - said: "Americans do not want the nation's military to be dragged into another costly and senseless war in the Middle East." The editors' forum of the magazine has also reported in its editorial that more than 1,000 USAID employees have signed a similar letter protesting the empire and the support of the Joe Biden government for the barbaric attacks of the Zionist regime of Israel in the Gaza Strip. "We believe that another tragedy of loss of human life is inevitable, unless the US government calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza," the letter said.
The letter adds that the signatories are withholding their names "for fear of their personal safety and the possibility of losing their jobs and employment." A few days ago, the Center for Constitutional Rights in the United States filed a lawsuit against President Joe Biden, the Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken and the Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, for allegedly giving unconditional support to the killing of genocide committed by Israel against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. The civil liberties center says that Israel's long-term occupation of Palestine, the siege of the Gaza Strip, and the empire and support provided by the United States have prepared the conditions for the genocide carried out by Israel against the Palestinian people. The American Center for Constitutional Rights has said that on October 18, it sent defendants Joe Biden, Blinken and Austin, an urgent information document to focus on the presence of concrete evidence of an Israeli attempt to commit genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza.
