Zelensky sanctions against Russia and Belarus
The government of Ukraine has included more than 600 Russian and non-Russian individuals and legal entities on its new sanctions list. Ukraine has already applied sanctions against Russian citizens. The embargo on Russians by Ukraine and Western countries continues as Western governments, led by America, fuel the fires of war in Ukraine by sending weapons.
According to the AAA news agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Saturday the decision of the country's National Security Council to impose sanctions on 692 individuals and organizations in Russia and Belarus. These restrictive measures are applied to 438 people and 254 Russian and Belarusian companies. As part of this round of Ukrainian sanctions against Russia, 82 sports figures from this country, including Olympic champions, football players, gymnasts and figure skaters, were sanctioned.
The sanctions are applied for a period of 50 years. Sanctions against these people include a ban on entry to Ukraine, a ban on issuing visas to this country, the cancellation of official visits, a ban on economic and financial obligations for sanctioned persons.
So far, many proposals have been made from various authorities and countries to establish a ceasefire and end conflicts in Ukraine, which is opposed by Kyiv and its Western supporters.
