Zelensky: We will not defend Bakhmut at any cost
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, in response to the attacks of Russian troops, said that Kyiv was not ready to defend Bakhmut at any cost. RIA Novosti reported two days ago that the Russian military had completely occupied the village of Paraskoviyevka, north of the town of Bakhmut, and that the town was now under the control of Russian forces. According to the AAA agency, Zelensky recognized the importance of the city of Bakhmut and said: "The defense of this city is really important for us, like many other cities in Donbass, but not at any cost and not at the cost of the death of everyone." Earlier, France 24, referring to violent clashes between the Russian army and the Ukrainian military, reported that the city of Bakhmut had become a meat grinder for Ukrainian forces.
