A group of illegal Zionist settlers of the illegal Israeli regime have set fire to the Bir Al-Walidain Mosque in the village of Marda, in the northern occupied West Bank.
Witnesses said a group of illegal settlers invaded the eastern suburb of Marda, near the town of Salfit, and deliberately set fire to the mosque on Friday.
Residents managed to put out the fire, but the fire had already caused significant damage to the mosque's structure. The settlers also wrote hateful Hebrew inscriptions on the mosque's walls, such as "Death to the Arabs."
The village of Marda is located near the illegal settlement of Ariel and is surrounded by a barbed wire fence.
Settler violence has increased significantly since October 7, 2023, with more than 1,000 incidents of invasion registered as of September 2024, during which more than 1,300 Palestinians have been evicted from their homes.
