Aliyev's aide traveled to Tel Aviv and held consultations with Netanyahu
The Azerbaijani Embassy in the occupied Palestinian territory announced the visit of Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, to the occupied territories and a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to the Baku embassy, Hajiyev conveyed greetings from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Netanyahu, and in return, he thanked him and asked him to convey his greetings to the Azerbaijani president as well. It is worth noting that the parties discussed a number of regional and bilateral issues. Israel and Azerbaijan are geographically distant from each other and have fundamental religious, linguistic, and cultural differences. However, they have managed to maintain a very close and extensive cooperation with each other in the field of political and security issues. Through their joint relations, Azerbaijan and Israel have been able to meet mutual needs and achieve their predetermined goals, while taking advantage of each other's potential and opportunities to strengthen their new positions. In exchange for supplying energy to Israel, Azerbaijan receives its weapons from this regime and ensures its logistical and military needs. It is worth noting that Israel, along with Turkey, supported Azerbaijan's position in the Second Karabakh War and supplied weapons to Baku.
