Almost 40% of UK university students say the October 7 attack on Israel is a liberation struggle

A poll published by the British newspaper Daily Mail shows that, almost 40% of students at Russell Group universities believe that the October 7 attack (al-Aqsa Hurricane operation) was an act of Muqawama and the liberation struggle of the Palestinians.

The survey involved more than a thousand students from Russell Universities (a group of 24 universities recognized as the best universities in the UK), and found that 38% of the students of those universities believe that the Hamas speech of October 7 last year against of Israel was an "intelligible" act of "Resistance" and struggle against occupation.

The opinion poll conducted by the Savanta Institute and involving the newspaper, shows that only one third of the students believe the attack by the Islamic Struggle Movement (Hamas) was "terrorist."

According to the poll, 38% of respondents agree that those who openly support Israel on college campuses should "expect" to be treated badly.

Students of the London College of Economics and Political Science started a sit-down strike in the college's Marshall Building in support of Palestine and against the college's cooperation with Israeli companies.

Students in Western universities are defending the Palestinians.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a war of extermination against the people of the Gaza Strip, and has killed tens of thousands of people, mostly children and women. The attacks have also caused widespread destruction and starvation and forced thousands of others to flee their homes.
