China confirms that it arrested a spy of the American Intelligence Agency CIA

  The Chinese government has confirmed through a statement that it has discovered and arrested a spy of the United States Intelligence Agency (CIA). Earlier, the Chinese media announced the discovery of a Chinese citizen accused of spying for the CIA. Several hours later, the country's official circles confirmed the news. The Ministry of Security of China has announced in a statement that the Chinese citizen named Zeng was an employee of the country's military unit responsible for technical issues and was hired by a CIA agent in Italy to spy on the organization. Zeng was sent to Italy by the Chinese military unit for research where he met and got to know the CIA agent. The statement of the Ministry of Security of China has continued to explain that, after the CIA agent "shaken" Zeng in terms of political ideology, he began to collect sensitive information about the Chinese army through the spy.

The new CIA spy was given espionage training before returning to China. It has been stated that, the United States Intelligence Agency had promised Zeng a large amount of money and the opportunity to immigrate to the United States for him and his family in return for the intelligence information he was required to provide to the agency. In July this year, China expanded the scope of its anti-espionage laws while the United States expressed concern over the measures taken by Beijing.
