Xi Jinping wrote in a letter to the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations: China is willing to promote mutually beneficial cooperation with the United States based on the three principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation.
According to Xinhua News Agency, Xi Jinping pointed out that as two world powers, whether China and the United States can establish a correct way to get along is related to world peace and development and the future and destiny of mankind. He said that China is willing to promote mutually beneficial cooperation with the United States in line with the three principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation, properly manage differences, and work together to respond to global challenges, achieve mutual success and common prosperity, and benefit both countries and the world.
It is hoped that the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations will continue to care and support Sino-U.S. relations and play a constructive role in promoting the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations. At the same time, at the invitation of US Secretary of State Blinken, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit the United States from October 26 to 28.
Mao Ning expressed the hope that the United States will work with China to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen communication and dialogue, expand practical cooperation, properly manage differences, and jointly push China-U.S. relations back to the track of healthy and stable development.
According to news released on the official website of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (October 24), Wang Yi will visit the United States from Thursday to Saturday (October 28) at the invitation of U.S. Secretary of State Blinken.
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not mention details such as who Wang Yi would meet during the trip. Previously, the Wall Street Journal quoted people familiar with the matter on Monday (October 23) as saying that Wang Yi is expected to go to Washington this week for talks with Blinken, paving the way for the summit expected to be held in San Francisco between Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Joe Biden.
