China's three-point plan is the best solution to the Palestinian issue
China's foreign minister stressed at a meeting with the UN secretary general that Beijing's three-point plan is the best solution to the Palestinian issue. According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry news website, in a meeting with Antonio Guterres, Wang Yi added: "Chinese President Xi Jinping introduced a tripartite initiative to resolve the Palestinian issue, which is currently considered the best solution." At his recent meeting with Mahmoud Abbas, head of the Palestinian Authority in Beijing, Xi Jinping presented a three-point initiative to resolve the Palestinian issue, the oldest crisis in West Asia, and said: “The fundamental solution is the formation of an independent Palestinian state with full national sovereignty based on borders in 1967 with the capital at Quds (Jerusalem)."
Noting that the "two-state solution" is the only solution to these tensions, Wang said China supports the United Nations playing an important role in achieving a ceasefire, reducing tensions and resuming Palestinian-Israeli negotiations. China's Foreign Minister also said, "The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has become the largest framework for global cooperation." The United Nations Secretary-General also said: “The Belt and Road Plan, global development and other plans are vital for developing countries to face challenges.”
