Cuba condemned Washington's policy of supporting the war in Ukraine
The President of the Cuban Parliament said: "The United States of America is to blame for fueling the war in Ukraine."According to TASS news agency, Cuban Parliament Speaker Esteban Lazo said: "The United States of America is responsible for fueling the conflict in Ukraine, and through pressure through the media, they are trying to blame Russia for this crisis."He sharply condemned the expansion of NATO to the East and the approach of this military bloc to the borders of Russia, as well as unilateral US sanctions against Russia.
Lazo added: "We oppose the policy of isolating Russia through a powerful media campaign aimed at inciting hatred towards this country."More than a year has passed since the outbreak of hostilities between Russia and Ukraine. The United States and other countries that support Kyiv are pumping weapons into Ukraine to prevent a cessation of hostilities. The US Department of Defense, continuing to provide its support for the continuation of the war in Ukraine, announced in early April of this year that it would transfer a new military package worth more than two billion dollars to Kyiv.
The press secretary of the head of the Russian state, Dmitry Peskov, said last Monday that NATO is an instrument of confrontation, not peace. "NATO is a war machine that is moving closer to Russia's borders," he said.Dmitry Peskov stressed: "We were unhappy with the approach of the North Atlantic Alliance to the borders of Russia and we warned them. We asked them to sit down at the negotiating table and discuss our concerns, but they refused to do so."
