The Islamic resistance movement Hamas has condemned repeated assaults by extremist Jewish settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. Hamas has urged the international community to take "effective action" against Israel's crimes.

The resistance group made the remarks in a statement released on Saturday after crowds of Israeli settlers stormed Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah, earlier in the day, the Palestinian Information Center reported.

“Israeli settlers continue to attack and terrorize our Palestinian people throughout the occupied West Bank” under Israeli protection, the statement said. He added that the crimes committed by the Israeli military and settlers "require effective Arab and international action to support the Palestinian people and their just cause, condemn the Israeli occupation and hold its leaders accountable for their crimes and violations of all international norms and conventions that threaten peace and stability in the region”.
