An Israeli analyst has voiced concerns about the sustainability of the Zionist regime, highlighting a growing sentiment among Israelis questioning their connection to the land of Palestine. This shift in perspective has been exacerbated by the global reaction to Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, launched on October 7, 2023, which has exposed the brutal tactics of the Zionist regime and undermined its strategies against Palestinians.
Ben Caspit, a prominent Israeli analyst, discussed these concerns in an article for Maariv. He acknowledged the increasing discussions about the potential collapse of the Israeli state, noting, “Today, the issue of destroying Israel is again on the agenda, and from the point of view of Israel’s enemies, this is a feasible matter.”
Caspit further observed that an increasing number of Israelis are reconsidering their future in Israel. "Every day, the number of Israelis who believe that Israel (i.e., occupied Palestine) is no longer a suitable place to educate and raise future generations is growing. These days, these people are thinking loudly and emphasizing that today's Israel is different from the Israel that their fathers created 76 years ago, when this entity still had great significance."
This growing disillusionment is reflected in the sentiments of Zionists and Jews who immigrated to Palestine, now realizing that the land does not belong to them. Caspit’s analysis underscores the changing narrative among Israelis about their historical and moral claims to the land of Palestine.
In his article, Caspit also criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of failing to deliver on promises and exacerbating the crisis. He wrote, "What is certain is that even if we manage to achieve the decisive victory that this salesman (Netanyahu), who holds Israel hostage, promised us, has in fact turned Hamas leader in Gaza Yahya al-Sinwar into a new Salah al-Din Ayyubi. In theory, he (Sinwar) has dealt the most painful blow to Israeli power in history, mocked the Israeli intelligence services, and convinced the Israeli army to attack Israel's Achilles heel and turn Tel Aviv's nightmares into reality."
Caspit concluded that the leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip is witnessing the disintegration of Israeli society and believes time is on his side. “The leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip is watching Israeli society collapse and enjoying every moment of it. He believes more than ever that time is flying in his favor, and he knows it well, that his name is forever inscribed in the history of the Palestinian people.”
These insights from a respected Israeli analyst highlight the deepening crisis within Israel and the shifting perceptions of its citizens regarding their nation's future and legitimacy. As internal and external pressures mount, the future of the Zionist regime appears increasingly uncertain.
