Massive Irish demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people

Thousands of Irish citizens took to the streets on Saturday in support of the Palestinian people and condemned the barbaric crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza. According to Irish, after a march through the central streets of Dublin, protesters gathered in front of the Foreign Ministry building and chanted slogans demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the sending of humanitarian aid. Waving the Palestinian flag, they held slogans supporting the Palestinian people and condemning Western governments that support the Zionist regime. Richard Boyd Barrett, a senior member of the Irish Parliament from the Solidarity People Before Profits party, said in this protest movement: “The crimes occurring in the Gaza Strip have nothing to do with self-defense and are a clear symbol of the genocide of the Palestinian people.” He criticized the silence of Western governments and international organizations and added: “The hands of Western leaders are stained with the blood of the Palestinian people.” Barrett asked the government to send a clear signal to Tel Aviv's leaders by expelling the Zionist regime's ambassador that Dublin opposes the occupation and genocide of the defenseless Palestinian people. At the same time, Palestinian supporters in Belfast (Northern Ireland) also demonstrated in front of the US Consulate and, declaring solidarity with the Palestinian people, condemned the White House's policies in support of the Zionist regime. The protesters demanded sanctions against the Zionist regime and increased international pressure for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The Irish President recently reacted sharply to the barbaric crimes committed by Zionists in Gaza and called for an independent international investigation into war crimes in the region.
