Putin: Russia will win, the conflict in Ukraine will end with its demands being met

President Vladimir Putin of Russia has said that the conflict in Ukraine will end by accepting the demands and conditions of his country.

Putin has explained this when asked about the conflict in Ukraine and clarified by saying: "all talks are based on military defeat, or military victory. Of course we will win".
 
Speaking at a panel of questions and answers held on the sidelines of the International Economic Forum of St. Petersburg (SPIEF), the President of Russia has said, the leadership of Kiev has no legal legitimacy and that Western countries cannot be trusted.

Putin has emphasized once again that Moscow is ready for negotiations, but it needs to be able to trust the people of the other side and be given conditions that are in its interests; and he added by saying: peace talks cannot be based on "fantasy ideas".

The President of Russia has also addressed the SPIEF audience that Volodymyr Zelenskyy cannot be considered the legitimate president of Ukraine because his term has legally expired since last month. He said, the Constitution of Ukraine is clear about the extension of the powers of the parliament in emergency situations, but it does not say anything about the terms of the presidency. So Zelenskyy's claim to stay in power is groundless.
