Russia and Ukraine exchanged prisoners
Through the mediation of the United Arab Emirates, an exchange of prisoners was carried out between Russia and Ukraine, as a result of which 248 Russian and 230 Ukrainian servicemen were released.
According to the report of "RT", the statement issued by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation states that the released persons will be provided with medical and psychological assistance and will be transported to the country by the Russian Aerospace Forces for treatment and rehabilitation in military medical centers.
Shortly after Russia's announcement, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on his Telegram channel that "more than 200 Ukrainian soldiers" had been released, but later said the exact number was 230.According to reports, this is the largest exchange of prisoners since the beginning of the Ukrainian war.In February 2020, Russia attacked that country to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO.
