Report: Six Israeli soldiers have hanged themselves as a result of the war in Gaza
At least six Israeli soldiers have reportedly committed suicide in recent months, due to psychological problems caused by the long-running war against Gaza and Lebanon.
The Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported Friday that the number of suicides may be higher than officially reported. Israel's military has so far refrained from releasing an official death toll, despite repeatedly promising to do so.
Recent reports say that 10,000 soldiers of the illegal Israeli regime have arrived at medical centers and asked to be given mental health care. A report published by Israel's Jerusalem Post in June highlighted the "dire" mental health situation facing Israeli occupation forces returning from the Gaza Strip. Some reports state that hundreds of soldiers of the illegal Israeli regime have suffered from mental illness since the Gaza war began last October (2023).
The Zionist newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth has reported that almost 80 percent of the Israeli soldiers who went to seek psychiatric treatment at medical centers and hospitals of the Zionist administration are on the list of casualties of the Gaza war. The Zionist regime thought that the war against Gaza would end after several weeks, but following the strong struggle of the Palestinians, the regime has failed to achieve its military goals.
