Sanchez booed at military parade
The Spanish Prime Minister was booed during the National Day parade. According to the AFP news agency, "Pedro Sanchez", the Spanish Prime Minister, this Thursday, as he entered the annual military parade of the country's National Day (October 12) in the city of Madrid, the capital of Spain, which was broadcast live on national television, with some people booing. When the Spanish Prime Minister got out of the car and was waiting for the arrival of Philip VI, king of this country and his wife, a group of people shouted: "Traitor"; "Spain is not for sale." Spain has been mired in political uncertainty since elections in July 2023. The right-wing Spanish People's Party won a majority of votes but did not have enough support to form a government. In September 2023, Alberto Núñez Feijo, head of the Spanish People's Party, lost a parliamentary vote to become prime minister. The King of Spain then appointed "Pedro Sanchez" to form the government. If no candidate for Spanish Prime Minister obtains a majority by 27 November 2023, new elections will have to be held, possibly scheduled for January 2024.
