Sanders' criticism of the Zionist regime's intensifying attacks on the Gaza Strip
Bernie Sanders, an independent senator from Vermont, wrote in a post on the social network X: “Netanyahu’s actions to resume airstrikes on the Gaza Strip are unacceptable. There are currently two million people living in the southern Gaza Strip. Many of them are those who fled the first war in northern Gaza." It should be noted that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians fled from the north of Gaza to the south and the city of Khan Yunis at the same time as the outbreak of the Zionist war on October 7th. The Friday morning airstrike resulted in the destruction of a large building in the city of Khan Younis and the martyrdom of dozens of Palestinians. Continuing his statements, Sanders emphasized extending the ceasefire and sending humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. In recent weeks, the independent US senator has criticized Zionist regime Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and called on the United States and the international community to work together to achieve a peaceful solution. Meanwhile, Sanders did not support growing calls for a long-term ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. It should be noted that the Palestinian Independent Human Rights Commission announced on Saturday that 80% of the residents of the Gaza Strip have been forced to leave their homes due to difficult humanitarian conditions. The entity also reported that Israel's goal is to turn migration within the Gaza Strip into migration outside Palestine. Since Friday morning (December 1), the Israeli army has resumed its aggression against the Gaza Strip after the end of a ceasefire that lasted about a week and during which a prisoner exchange took place between the Tel Aviv regime and the Palestinian resistance. About 60 days after the attack of the Zionist regime on the defenseless people of the Gaza Strip, the number of martyrs reached 15 thousand 523 people, of which 6 thousand 600 were children and 4 thousand 300 were women. In addition, as a result of the attacks and crimes of the Zionist regime against Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip, 41 thousand 316 Palestinians were injured and 7 thousand 500 went missing.
